STRDY World 2nd Annual Back-2-School Community Day

On Friday September 6th, 2024, STRDY World brought the community back together as we hosted our STRDY World 2nd Annual Back-2-School Community Day Event. The event took place from 3:00pm - 7:00pm, and it was held at the Edgewood Triangle Park, located in the Brookland/Edgewood neighborhood of NE, Washington, DC. 

During this event, we partnered with the DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR), who showcased their moon bounce, arcade games, and slushy and popcorn machines as refreshments.

We were also excited to be joined again by Inspired by Love, LLC, who put on a magnificent performance for the kids of the community! This included bringing out Pete the Cat for an interactive story time session, face painting and hair-styling activities. 

We were super excited to have the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) and their community outreach team join us again, as well as the DC Department of Employment Services (DOES), The DC Firefighter and Emergency Services (DCFEMS), Children's National Hospital, and The DC Office of Gun Violence & Prevention (OGVP).   

Dynasty Ave Productions brought in the sounds to serenade the event, while the smell of grilled food lingered in the air all day!

If you thought that was enough, we were also stoked to bring resources and informational sessions to the event, as the Edgewood / Brookland Family Support Collaborative provided resources for the community, NeKtar Juice Bar and Lady E Sweets LLC, provided juice samples and baking goods while speaking on entrepreneurship, with Z Kuro Self Defense teaching attendees the importance of safe self defense!   

Thank you to everyone who came out to join us, as we were thrilled to see the smiles on all of the faces of the kids and adults alike, who joined us.

STRDY World at DC's Art All Night

Since 2022, STRDY World has taken great pride in participating in Washington, DC's city-wide Art All Night DC festivities.

Our first year, we found immense pleasure in partaking in the Art All Night DC activities that were held at the Anacostia Arts Center in the Anacostia section of SE, Washington, DC.

Since 2023, we have absolutely enjoyed our time being a part of the Parks and Main Street collective sector, of the Arts All Night DC in the Riggs/Lamond section of NE, Washington, DC.

 This year, we hope to see you all come out to this years Art All Night DC. Please check back periodically, to see where STRDY World will be located in 2025 for Art All Night DC!
